Attendance in Lectures & Practicals
Rule 1
All students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in both lectures and practicals throughout each semester. Failure to comply results in disallowance from the semester-end examination.
i
Students' attendance in lectures and practicals sessions must be 75%.
ii
If a student fails to secure 75% attendance — either in lecture, practical, or both — he/she is liable to be disallowed. A disallowed student is rendered disqualified for that semester and is debarred from writing the semester-end examination. He/she must repeat the entire semester in all courses all over again.
iii
10% concession is allowed in attendance on health grounds, provided the student submits a medical certificate from a registered doctor. The decision to grant the concession rests with the Head of Department (HOD).
iv
The defaulters' list is displayed twice within each semester. Students can approach their course teachers to check their attendance if they have any shortage.
