St. Xavier's Technical Institute has achieved and maintained its credibility of being renowned — not only in Mumbai and Maharashtra, but also nationally and internationally, as part of the St. Xavier's Group.
It is a great feeling for me and I am fortunate to be a part of this Institute at a time when there are rapid changes in innovation and technology. I joined this Institute as Principal in February 2008, and took it up as a challenge to maintain the tradition of the Institute in being "the first" to host and conduct a number of events and activities.
Since the time I am here as Principal, I have seen and witnessed the caliber of our staff and students, and I am proud that I took a decision to take up this challenge to be associated with this Institute as Principal.

The Institute has always been first in many aspects — it was the first institute in the country to start marine and radar maintenance courses. This spirit of being at the forefront continues to define everything we do. It is a tradition we carry with pride and responsibility.
As Principal, I am fortunate to have dedicated and motivated teaching and non-teaching staff members who have strived to maintain this high quality and contributed towards the development of the Institute, ensuring that St. Xavier's Technical Institute is, and remains to be, one of the best technical institutions in the entire state.
There have been several instances where the staff has put in efforts — the most important being towards satisfying the need to constantly update and revise the curriculum in keeping with the rapidly changing trends in industry, particularly in the field of electronics. The Institute has always encouraged staff to undertake short-term and long-term training programmes for self-development and qualifying themselves for well-deserved promotions.

Within six months of my joining in February 2008, the entire staff was enthusiastic to host and conduct NEXTECH — a State Level Technical Paper Presentation and Project Exhibition Competition. Today, St. Xavier's Technical Institute can proudly claim that this event has become a regular, yearly National Level Event for the last eleven years.
My sincere message to the students of X-TECH is that whatever you do and wherever you go, you must carry the ideals of this Institute in life — the joy of excelling in a world of high technology — and giving the nation its due share of your contribution for its growth, and at the same time, not forgetting human values.
This, I believe, is the hallmark of an individual who will pass out of this Institute — not only excelling in academics but also as an all-round developed personality. I am sure that you will make us, your parents and families proud.
I thank each and every one of my staff and I assure all my students that we, at X-TECH extend all our inputs, to ensure that your efforts will certainly bear fruit for yourselves, your family and your future.
